Holiday Blessings to you from Corgis and Friends of Walmarsh

The Holiday Season is a time for me to pause and give Thanks for the many blessings that God gives us. We had an incredible year with 55 Corgis, Cardis and mixes being adopted. I could not have done it without my fosters, volunteers and www.corgiaid.org. We are a small group and have remained as such in offering rescue and placement on a personal level. A very special thanks to my Volunteers who have made the program what it is: Edith S, Amy B, Claire A, Aleta H, Gail M, Linda S, Feli N, Jennifer, Tom M, Teresa C, Barb M and others who I might have overlooked. It takes a village!!

Say Hello to Stoney! ADOPTED

Stoney is Solid Gold!

Stoney has gone to 'Tennysea' and makes his new home with a female hound rescue named Celia. His mom is a former Weimaraner breeder and writes a blog on dog nutrition. He stole my heart when he was with me at Walmarsh and a special thanks to Ashley for the wonderful job she did in fostering and socializing Stoney.

Meet Chip! IN FOSTER CARE

APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED FROM THOSE FAMILIAR WITH PARALYZED DOGS
HE IS A HOOT!!

This wonderful 7-year old boy is now ready for his forever home. If your are looking for a real snuggle bunny, this guy is for you!

This is Holly! Now Poppy ADOPTED

An Absolute Charmer!

This little girl came into foster terrified from a high kill shelter where she was picked up as a stray. She now makes her home in Atlanta with a seasoned Corgi Family who have an older pemmie suffering from Lymphoma. Poppy's gardian angel is Dickens an she adores him and has become his cheerleader and constant companion.
We love you Poppy!

WE REALLY, REALLY NEED FOSTERS!

Have you thought about owning a corgi and not quite ready???

We are looking for qualified fosters who can take a rescue pem in, treat it as if they were your own, socialize if necessary, fenced yard is a big a plus. ALL expenses paid for except monthly preventative and food. We pay all vet bills and you have first choice to adopt
(we call this a Foster Failure.. smile)!

WE HAVE CHANGED OUR NAME!

We will have more to offer our applicants and those corgis in need. I am the Rescue Coordinator for Carolina Corgi Rescue dba Corgis and Friends of Walmarsh, which is now the rescue organization supported by the Palmetto Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club (www.ppwcc.org).

Corgis and Friends of Walmarsh has been in rescue for over 12 years
and we have a stellar reputation with shelters, dogs we have placed
and those groups involved in rescue.

***

We have several Corgis coming into the Rescue!

Please fill out one of our Adoption Applications and send it to SalleyW@bellSouth.net so that we can put you on our waiting list.

Make A Difference
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN ADOPTING A RESCUE!

Shelter and Rescue dogs aren't broken, they have simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human, we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write, the ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage.
Don't pity a shelter dog. Adopt one.
And be proud to have their greatness by your side.
