Even a Small Donation Helps

Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL)

Greetings,

One of our goals was to improve our online presence, so we created our own HAL web site. It contains lots of great reference information (e.g., FAQs, Tips, Missing Pets, Spay and Neuter, Resources and Links, Preparedness, Benefactors), as well as the ability to donate In memory of or In Honor of a beloved pet or person and, of course, easy access to Petfinder. We strongly encourage you to visit our web site and do some exploring. Please take a minute to send us your comments (positive and negative). It is the only way we can improve.

We LOVE our partnership with Petfinder. It is THE place where people go to search online for furry four-legged companions. We will continue to place all our animals available for Adoption and our Happy Tails on Petfinder. We upgraded our Petfinder "look and feel" to be more compatible with and provide easy access to our main HAL web site. We also added online Adoption, Volunteer and Foster Application forms and a link to PayPal.

The Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL) was formed to enhance the Beaufort County Animal Shelter's foster care program and improve their adoption rates.

dogsPuppies and kittens, as well as pregnant or lactating dogs and cats are placed in foster homes until they are ready to be spayed or neutered and put up for adoption. HAL provides food, litter, and other supplies as well as pays for a portion of their medical expenses.

HAL holds adoption fairs and places pictures and descriptions on Petfinder to help foster and rescue animals find forever homes.

HAL is an all-volunteer non-profit charity, and all money donated is used to help the animals. Our furry friends are very grateful for your support. Please consider making a monetary donation or volunteering some of your precious time to foster (dogs or cats) or use your business skills and imagination to enhance HAL's ability to support the animals in Beaufort County.

Sincerely,

Board of Directors
