BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER:

Adoption is a LIFE-LONG commitment to the pet you are applying to adopt.

All kittens and cats MUST be adopted as indoor only cats unless specifically agreed to by us in writing.

All kittens and cats must NOT be declawed after adoption. We often have cats available for adoption that have already been declawed, if this is a necessity. We will also be happy to discuss alternatives to declawing with you.

IF YOU AGREE WITH US, Our adoption Procedures are:

v ADOPTION DONATIONS: Kittens & Cats $85

v NO CAGES, NO KILL, NO TIME LIMITS. We live with foster families

v TESTED (FeLv/FIV), VACCINATED (FVRCP & Rabies), ALTERED, MICROCHIPPED

4. THE PROCESS

a. Application: Fax, email, mail or bring us your application to adopt. Cat Application

b. Interview: CALL (843) 729-3967 or EMAIL mdellolio@sc.rr.com for an appointment to visit us.

c. Visit: Visit us at our foster home. A home visit at your home might be required as well.

d. CONTRACT: If your application to adopt us is approved, a legal adoption contract will be prepared and signed.

e. LEGAL STUFF: (All of the pets listed for adoption at Our Lady of Mercy's Catnip Cottage web site are rescued pets. Information regarding their history and breeding is usually sketchy at best, and is often not known. Our Lady of Mercy's Catnip Cottage makes no guarantees regarding our history, breed types, age, personalities and medical condition beyond what we are able to observe and what we and our vets have done for them. The adopting owner assumes all responsibility and liability for their pet after adoption)
