Dog of the Month

Please meet Spirit! He is a great dog that has been in a home for years and was returned because his owner could not have him anymore. He has the sweetest eyes that will reach your heart. Spirit is a small Yellow Lab mix (Approximately 40 pounds) that is housetrained, neutered, and had all of his shots. He does well with people and other dogs. Please make Spirit's time in rescue short and offer him the forever home that he thought he once had.

Meet beautiful Inky! He is a sweet cat that just needs some extra love and attention! It wouldn't take him long to warm up to his new owner. He is anxious to find his forever home. Please give Inky a chance to be your companion!

In Memoriam of Lisa Kirk, Board Member

Noah's Arc lost board member and volunteer Lisa Kirk on March 6, 2014. Lisa was a tireless supporter of Noah's Arc in so many ways. She served on our board as secre-tary, attending every meeting and keeping minutes until her illness made that impossible.

She excelled at fundraising, taking on both the calen-dar contest and the fashion show and running them with an energy, vision, and attention to detail that was unmatched. The fashion show, in particu-lar, was Lisa's creation. She put the first one togeth-er in November 2012 and it was a smashing success.

As a valued and respected member of the communi-ty, Lisa was able to attract a number of individual and business sponsors for the show that helped to significantly underwrite the costs of putting it on. The second fash-ion show, held this past November when Lisa was already ill, was a showstopper.

Lisa also contributed to the Reverse Raffle, our biggest fundraiser, serving as the emcee and publicizing it through television and radio spots that featured her as our spokesper-son. Whether heading up a project or working on it behind the scenes, Lisa did it all with style and grace. Without a doubt, when Lisa took on a project for us, it was always a job well done.
Lisa was truly a godsend to Noah's Arc and her time with us was far too short. She cared deeply for God's creatures, especially of the feline variety, and through her service with Noah's Arc, saved countless numbers of dogs and cats from abuse and neglect.

We deeply mourn her loss. Rest in peace, Lisa.
