NAMC Adoption Fees:

Please note that our fees, though higher than other area shelters and rescue groups, ensure that you are taking home a fully vetted animal. If you were to compare the costs for these services done outside the shelter, you would pay significantly more.

Payment - now accepting

The shelter accepts payment of adoption fees in the form of CASH, CASHIER'S CHECK, MONEY ORDER, VISA, or MASTERCARD. Several ATMs are located near the shelter if you desire to pay with cash.

Dogs and Cats

Norfolk City Law requires that all dogs and cats adopted from our shelter be spayed/neutered before being released to the adopter. To do all we can to ensure you are receiving a healthy animal, we have contracted with Boulevard Veterinary Hospital to provide additional veterinary care that will get your new best friend off to a healthy start in his/her new home.
