Who We Are

Janet's Rescue is a group of individuals that have come together toward a single goal: to assist homeless dogs and cats find a new family and home. Not to just adopt but to match the right pet with the right home.

We rescue dogs and cats from local shelters, owner surrenders and various regions in the U.S. where their chances of finding permanent homes are slim.

Sadly, without our help, all of these animals would face almost certain euthanasia - usually within days or hours of our rescuing them. Once in our care, we find these animals permanent, loving homes in and around the Northern Virginia area.
