Who We Are
We are a county run Shelter. We are dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in Monroe County.
Adopting a friend
Maximum Adoption fee of $70.00. Residents of Monroe County are are also required to purchase a current dog license at the time of adoption.
Once a week we have a licensed Veterinarian visit our shelter and do a healthy dog examination to every dog that is impounded. At that time all dogs are given a rabies vaccination.
Puppy adoptions include puppy shots and worming of the puppy which is done at the time of impoundment.
A spay/neuter contract must be signed at the time of adoption.
