We LOVEEEE our Clark! Thanks so much for your care. -- Jennifer Nica was extremely shy when my roommate and I first adopted her. She wouldn't even come near us. She would be so scared and tense when we came close to her. But after a few days of working in desentisizing her slowly, she started adjusting and slowly raising her tail up like a confident girl she has always been inside. Now, she's a quite happy girl. She's just the cutest and we love her very much. Thank you so much for bringing Nica into our lives!! -- Amanda and Stephanie
I'm writing a happily ever after about my cat that I adopted named Eden now renamed Lilly! She has now fully adjusted and she loves her new home. She loves to play and tries to attack our feet all the time. She loves to hide around corners or behind anything and jump out when you come. I'm so glad we decided to adopt from this shelter! -- Samantha Gwen has a little basket of toys on the floor, and when she's ready to play, she'll pull them out, sometimes (believe it or not) even putting them back when she's all tuckered out! In the past couple weeks, she's started giving me kisses on my face; and being on my own in a new city - those are the best kisses EVER! I love her to pieces :) Thanks SO much SFTS! -- Ashley
Oliver, (formerly Delbert), is the BEST dog! We adopted him in March 2009 and he instantly became part of our family. He loves to cuddle on the couch with us, go to the dog park, play with toys with my children and at 8:30, he puts himself to bed in his little dog bed. He is the sweetest, most lovable dog! We are so glad we found him. Thank you Shelter From the Storm! -- Brenda When we arrived to get Chuck (now Buck) I became quite skeptical about taking him because he had "Pit Bull" listed on his bio sheet. However, you convinced me that you believed he was in no way aggressive so we took him home. Yes, he sleeps with us. We actually went out and bought a bigger bed when we got him so we might actually have a little room to sleep ourselves. I will say that the two dogs have more room to stretch out. As for us, well, we have a bigger bed. Buck & my husband have become very close. WE LOVE HIM VERY MUCH!!!! Thank you so much for this new light in our lives! -- Mike and Jen
