Save a life - be a foster parent!
Being a foster parent is a rewarding experience! Take home a needy animal - dog, cat, puppy, or kitten.
Socialize and love, love, love them until they find new forever homes. Foster caring for one of these animals will make you feel good
about saving a life, as all of our animals are in danger of being euthanized before they get to us.
Shelter from the Storm will help with food and supplies. You are welcome to whatever supplies we have. We will also look to you for any input
on the temperament of your foster pet and use your assistance for any applications received
for your special pal. Your responsibilities will include providing food, water, and shelter, lots of love, a
ride to Petsmart on Saturday (our adoption day), and rides to the vet clinic for any medical reasons including spay and neuter.
Shelter from the Storm will offer any help you might need. Our adoption rate is high so the commitment
will not be a burden, but a fun and meaningful experience. Foster homes are essential to our rescue.
Every new foster home allows us to rescue one more animal.

Volunteer your time at Petsmart
We are at Petsmart East every Saturday from 10 AM - 2 PM. We need volunteers to help with set up at 9 AM, people to help with the dogs and cats between 10 AM and 2 PM, and people to help with breakdown from 2-2:30. Talk to us if you have children who may be interested in helping, too!

Volunteer your time at the low cost clinic
We NEED volunteers! Volunteering at our clinic is a great way to learn about animal health care. You don't have to know a thing - we will train you! We are happy to have anyone for any amount of time - an hour, two hours, or all day.

Volunteer in the transport of animals
We need help with the transport of animals for shelters around the state and out of state to our rescue. We also need help with transport to vet appointments and to foster homes. It is a fun way to volunteer when needed and help some needy animals get to a safe place.

Help with fundraisers
We can use experienced and not-so-experienced people to help organize and run fundraisers. All the money raised will be used to fund our expenses. If you have experience running and planning fundraisers and have a little extra time we can use your help! If have no experience and are willing to jump in and help, we can use you, too!

Sponser an animal or litter of animals
If your time is short and you still want to help with our cause you can sponsor an animal. Your donation of $50 for a cat or $75 for a dog will help cover medical bills (spay or neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test and meds, felv/FIV test for cats, etc...)

1. Food (dry, canned, or soft) for kittens, puppies, dogs, and cats
2. Computer paper and cardstock, all colors
3. Dell all-in-one 490 ink printer cartridges, black and color
4. Laundry detergent and fabric softener
5. Non-Clumping cat litter
6. Leashes and collars
7. Dog ID tags that say:
