There are many easy ways to make a contribution to the Monroe County Animal League. Below are some suggestions, links, etc.

NEEDS LIST

• Puppy and Dog food (Purina please)
• Bleach, Febreze, Paper Towels, Laundry Detergent
• Hand held vacuum with heavy suction

• Puppy/Dog toys
• Dog houses (for residents in need)
• Dog kennels (to expand foster care)

MAJOR WISH LIST

• Land for storage sheds throughout the county. Ideally, storage units would be located at the north and south ends of the county. These will greatly reduce the stress of volunteers needing to store feed, bedding, etc., and provide a location for all volunteers to have access at any time.
• Storage sheds.
• Large, metal trash cans. These will be used in the storage sheds to hold food. This is a must to keep out rodents!

Items on our "needs" list are things we use every day. Many of our volunteers use money from their own pockets to pay for these types of things. This amounts to thousands of dollars every year. Your contribution of a bottle of bleach, old blanket or a bag of dog food is greatly appreciated!

Items on our "wish" list are things that we can use to make things better for our furry friends. Additionally, we know of many residents who enjoy the companionship of their furry friend but just can't afford a dog house or a special toy. Your contributions of these items will be distributed to those we know of that are in need.

Donation of dog kennels will allow us to expand our foster care efforts. MCAL fosters approximately 50 pups/dogs at any one time. When you consider that we have approximately five active members who foster - that's a heck of a lot of dogs!
