Good morning Nora! You do not know me, but I am the new mom of the chihuahua mix dog (Dina) that you fostered. When we adopted her we were given a note stating that you would like to hear from her new family and I wanted to take a moment to let you know how she is doing! :) We first met Dina at the Northeast Animal Shelter in the Boston Area. She was in a crate with another Chihuahua mix dog named Elvis. Our original intention was to adopt one dog but the shelter really wanted to keep the two dogs together so we ended up with two new additions to the family. (From my understanding, Dina and Elvis were found together in WV) I brought the whole family (Michaela 10 years old/ Nathaniel 8 years old / Gabriella 4 years old) the first day we met the two dogs and the shelter was not to keen on us adopting because I already had a rescued Golden Retriever at home and they did not feel we would be the best fit. The next day I went back to the shelter alone and visited with Dina and Elvis and Dina would not leave me the whole time I was there :) Needless to say the shelter let me adopt them that day and it has been a perfect fit for the family. Winston Churchill (our Golden Retriever) accepted the two new additions to the Family immediately! We have since renamed our two new family members. Dina is now Sedona and Elvis is now Matrix. Matrix is a bit of a minx and gets into a lot of mischief and loves my 4 year old the most. He is being taught manners as he is VERY lacking! :) . Sedona and I are absolutely in love with each other and she will 'speak' up quite loudly if I do not pay enough attention to her. She is quiet and quite content to snuggle as I work on the computer or will lay on her favorite spot on the couch until I am done with cleaning! Last night for the first time she was uncrated overnight, because Matrix has a stomach virus, and slept in my 10 year old daughters room and I believe in complete heaven, snuggled under the covers. We love Matrix and Sedona I am attaching some pictures for you to see. I hope you enjoy and I will stay in touch with updates if you would like :) Let me know when you receive this email so that I know you have received everything. Happy Holidays & Warmest Regards Kelly Ilebode |
