Grizzly
came to us with horribly large spots of missing hair and open wounds all
over his body. He was lucky to find a family that was willing to foster
him until MCAL could find a home, foster home, or transport him in our
Puppy Program. This kind family took Grizzly back and forth to the vet
office as required, administered medications and gave him as much loving
as their family environment would permit. |

came into the MCAL foster system just weeks before being transported in
our Puppy Program. At this time he was brought indoors to see how he would
react to this new lifestyle. He marked everywhere! Everything he passed,
he lifted his leg on to say "I was here"! Yikes! We worked with
him vigorously and made great strides to correct this. It was only occasionally
that he would lift his leg by the time he left our home.
We also allowed him to run free with our other four legged family members. We'd been told that he chased horses, and wanted to experience this for ourselves (MCAL tries very hard to understand our pets prior to placing them into forever homes. This gives the pet a much better chance of finding the right family the first time around). He did fine! He romped and played with our other dogs, didn't chase one of our cats and wasn't at all bothered by the horses in the field. As you will see from the letter sent by his new caregiver, Grizzly has found the perfect forever home! |
