Mandible

Mandible was a senior hound, who was missing his lower jawbone due to an accident. He was found in an emaciated state, but showed such character that the vet chose to repair him the best she could. MCAL wasn't sure they'd ever find his forever home, but a very special lady saw his picture and story, and fell in love! The letter below is from Manny's new companions.

Good Afternoon!

I've been thinking about you all and I wanted to let you know that Manny is doing wonderful! A day doesn't go by that we don't thank everyone that was involved in his rescue. We truly love him and can't imagine what it was like without him.
I just wanted to let you know Mandible is doing very well. I am so pleased with his transition. He gets along well with his new brothers and sister. Sadie likes to give him kisses. When we walk around our property he is so spunky....he loves to sniff around the woodsline and he likes to follow Enzo and Sadie. When I toss a ball for Enzo Mandible takes off after Enzo (with his version of running). I leash him before we go out the door, but as soon as I open that door he sprints outside and is ready to go. He does wonderfully on a leash. In the evenings he cuddles with me or Steve on the couch and he sleeps right up against us at night. He is truly an awesome fella! I am so thankful for you all rescuing him! Now he is a wonderful part of our lives.

Here's a picture of him and Steve the first day when we got back - it didn't take him long to get comfortable! The other picture is Manny with his new brothers and sisters.

Take Care
