Hi Angela,
Thank you so much for e-mailing me. Wigeon (aka "Kate") brings so much joy to our lives on a daily basis. She is very sweet, but also has this goofy, fun-loving personality. She makes my husband and me laugh several times a day. We live on Cape Cod, Mass. so Wigeon gets to run around on the beach off-leash this time of year (no tourists). She loves the sand, but has no interest in the ocean.
I should be the one thanking you for all of your wonderful work fostering homeless dogs. What a noble calling. You're a saint. Do you work for the Monroe County Animal League or are you just one of their foster families? If you have the time, can you tell me anything you can remember about Wigeon when she was in your care? I know she was found in a trash pit with her Mom and sister (both of whom were adopted by families in Mass.) in October of 2006. I think she must have spent about 6-8 weeks in the animal shelter/foster care before being shipped up to Save-A-Dog. Beyond that, I don't know anything. I would appreciate any information about her that you can give me.
Many thanks and many blessings to you as well,
Mary
