Hello, my name is Liz and I have adopted one of the puppies you fostered through the Monroe County Animal League. I just graduated from college, and a little over a month ago I visited the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, MA and ended up coming home with sweet little Turnip (now named Wiley) one of the aussie/collie mixes. When I got to the shelter his siblings had already been taken and he was crying alone in his kennel. I took him out to play with him and fell in love with his shy but interested attitude and funny little face. I had been looking for a dog for about a year since my old lab mix died, and I'm so glad that I found Wiley (Turnip). He is the best puppy, he's so easy going and not hyper, and he's even house trained now (except for a few little accidents). I'm so grateful that you took care of him and his siblings, and I'm so glad I found him. He was really shy and scared of everything at first, but he has really grown up to be a wonderful confident pup (he still hates the care, we're working on that) and he LOVES my cat (who thinks he's a dog) and all other dogs. I signed him up for an obedience class and he is so smart that every week he is the star and outshines all the other puppies. Well I just wanted to let you know that he is doing great, and thanks so much for taking care of him. I'd love to hear back from you and get any other information about his rough start to life if you get a chance. Also, I don't know anything about his siblings, do you know if they are in happy homes also? Thanks again! I have attached a picture so you can see how big he is! He has lost almost all of his blond puppy fuzz and is now a gorgeous chocolate brown color. He weighs about 25 pounds. The other dog in the picture is my sister's 3 year old rescue dog, Sophie. Liz
