  Spay/Neuter Program Spay / Neuter Application Membership Application  


MCAL gladly provides assistance to Monroe County residents who are unable to afford surgery costs. If you can financially afford surgery costs, please do not ask for spay/neuter assistance as this takes away from others in need and diminishes our efforts.

MCAL will pay $35 towards a spay and/or $25 toward a neuter procedure. You are responsible for the balance of the cost when the animal is taken to the Veterinarian Clinic. Please keep in mind that your pet must be current on all required shots (rabies). MCAL does not subsidize vaccinations. You can receive up to three (3) spay/neuter coupons per year.

When your spay/neuter application has been approved, MCAL will complete the bottom portion and return the application to you.

Once returned to you, you must:

  • Make an appointment with a Monroe County veterinarian to have your animal spayed/neutered.


  • Inform the veterinarian this is to be a MCAL procedure.


  • Take the approved application with you the day of the procedure.


  • Pay the balance of the procedure the day surgery is performed.
In order to be accepted for the Spay/Neuter program you MUST be a member of MCAL. Please be sure to complete the membership application if you are not a current member.
