A year ago all of the cats and kittens listed on our Petfinder site would have been on their own. For the first time ever, Tucker County Animal Control is picking up stray and abandoned cats, getting them vetted, and placing them into responsible homes through an adoption program.
This is made possible only by the hard work of the Animal Control Officers and private donations. The Tucker County Commission is still holding back on using county money to help cats; however, Minnie and Cathy, the ACOs, have “taken the bull by the horns” and have been helping them anyway!
Please help us show the County that its citizens do care about the welfare of cats and that they want to establish a humane program to help stray and abandoned cats.
You can help by sponsoring cat or kitten so it can be checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, wormed, and spayed or neutered. This veterinary care will make the cat much more adoptable.
Email Cathy to find out which cat or kitten needs help the most.
