River the Guard Dog who wouldn't guard!

River was brought to the shelter when he was 11 months old because his owner had intended him to be a vicious guard dog and River just didn't cut it.

This guy is the most friendly, gregarious soul you could imagine! Why, he was meant to be a greeter--not a guard dog.

River was pulled from the Tucker County "dog pound" three years ago and taken to 2x2 Animal Rescue in Pennsylvania, where he was fostered until his perfect family came along. His mom just sent us an update on River and as you can see, he's doing fine!
